Windjammer
"CH Koerncoons Windjammer of Timberkatz" Windjammer came to us indirectly from
Koerncoons Maine Coon Cattery
(Pamela Koerner of New York) and of great Maine Coon lines. Windjammer aka "Windy" was our first stud male and the king of the castle. He was
championed in CFF in one day at our home town show in Attleboro, MA in 2004 and was featured in our local newspaper. The best part was this was
the cattery's first cat show ever. Windy was a very manly cat with a sweet and gentle personality. While in our home, he enjoyed playing with cat teasers,
the turbo scratcher and of course, the cattery's favorite toy, the laser pointer. We taught Windy to stand up on his to hind legs when we said "up" and loved to have his head scratched. He preferred to
sit in between us on the arm of the couch to have his head and neck scratched. While he didn't purr much, he'd grunt softly
through the whole head and neck scratching experience. Windy was an excellent father and loved the ladies of the cattery. He fathered some beautiful kittens and we'd always
look forward to see how his kittens would turn out. Both Neli and I were always excited to see if his kittens did inherit his awesome personality. Windy was known around
our home as one "BIG MUSH" and a wonderful Maine Coon. Some of Windy's sons that he fathered, are well over the 20 lb range and we still hear about to this day when talking
to some of our clients. Windy was officially retired in June of 2007 and was placed in a loving home in October of
2007. Although we miss him terribly, there will always be a soft spot in our hearts for him. We have many of Windy's offspring living with us currently which means we see a little of him every day. His son, Timberkatz Midnight Express and his daughters, Timberkatz Cosette , Timberkatz Honey Amber Rose and Purrrgatory Soleil of Timberkatz. |
